The Capuchin community are saying the 1pm Mass in the Cathedral Monday to Saturday; they have transferred their 1pm Mass from their friary to the Cathedral whilst number restrictions are in place.

The Cathedral is following the public health guidelines issued by the Government in line with WHO recommendations. Social Distancing Measures will be in place. People in attendance will be seated 2 metres apart unless they are from the same household.

The wearing of face masks is not mandatory as appropriate social distancing will be in place inside the Cathedral.

Hand sanitising stations will be in place at entrance and exits of the Cathedral.

There may be a short queue to enter the Cathedral.

Stewards will be on hand to offer any assistance required. Please follow any directions given.

Entrance to the Cathedral will be via the front main entrance only.

The Sign of Peace is suspended.

Holy Communion will be brought to the congregation by the Priest and Ministers of the Eucharist.

No member of the public will be permitted entry to the Sacristy at any time. Collection of rotas and Holy Communion for home visitation will be available in the Parish Centre after 12.30pm Sunday Mass.

The toilets will not be open for use.

Sunday dispensation is still in effect. Attending a weekly Mass instead of Sunday may be suitable for some people.

The health and safety of all who participate in our liturgy is of the utmost importance. We ask for your patience and cooperation as together we make this journey back to communion with one another and sharing in the Communion of God.
